The Citizen’s Police Academy is part of the Sheridan Police Department’s efforts to further enhance communication and relationships with the community. The program is three hours of training one evening per week for twelve weeks, and will cover topics such as:

• Domestic Violence
• School Resource Officer Program
• Patrol Operations
• Tactical Team Operations
• Firearms
• K-9 Operations
• Drug Awareness
• Criminal Investigations
• Community Service Officers

We are currently accepting applications for the 2013 Citizen’s Police Academy.    The class is scheduled to begin Tuesday,  February 26th and run through April 30th.  Classes  will be held at the Sheridan Police Department located at 45 W. 12th Street.  All interested persons must complete a written application prior to attending.  Click on the link below to download an application, or stop by the Department.
